GlowAI trust deskGlowAI Community Rules
Effective Updated
The rules for Explore, the GlowAI community. The rules are the same ones the app shows when you join; the short notes under each rule appear only on this page.
On this page
1. Who these rules are for
These rules apply to everything in Explore: posts, titles, comments, polls, collections, routines, profiles, handles and links. You agree to them when you join Explore. They are part of the GlowAI Terms of Service.
2. The 13 rules
- Be kind. Be kind. No insults, threats or bullying. This covers: Harassment, insults, threats and bullying aimed at another person.
- No rating looks. Never rate or mock how someone looks. This covers: Rating, ranking or comparing anyone’s looks, and insults about how someone looks.
- Only your own photos. Only post photos of yourself. This covers: Photos of other people posted without their consent.
- No dangerous advice. No dangerous advice, drugs or selling. This covers: Dangerous medical advice, dangerous challenges, help to get drugs, promoting tobacco or drugs, and selling drugs or medicine.
- Keep details private. Keep personal details private, yours and others'. This covers: Sharing someone’s address, phone number or other personal details, and asking people to move to private contact.
- No sexual content. No sexual content. Adults must never seek contact with anyone under 18. This covers: Sexual content, any sexual content involving anyone under 18, adults seeking contact with minors, and intimate images shared without consent.
- No hate or violence. No hate, violent threats or support for terrorism. This covers: Hate speech, threats of violence, and praise or support for terrorism.
- Stay safe. Never encourage self-harm or eating disorders. If you are struggling, we show you support first. This covers: Content that encourages self-harm or eating disorders. If a post shows that you are at risk, we show you support and do not give you a strike.
- 13 and older. You must be 13 or older to use Explore. This covers: Accounts of children under 13, which are locked.
- Be real. No fake accounts, posing as someone else, spam or scams. This covers: Fake accounts, impersonation, spam and scams.
- Legal content only. Only share what you have the right to share, and nothing illegal. This covers: Illegal content, and content that infringes someone’s copyright.
- Health topics. Share what worked for you, not medical advice. Posts about procedures, medicine or doses are for adults only. This covers: Posts about procedures, surgery, medicine, supplement doses, weight loss, fasting or body recomposition drugs. These are shown to adults only.
- Extra checks. New accounts, anonymous posts and first links get an extra check before others see them. This covers: New accounts, anonymous posts and the first link you share are checked more closely.
3. How posts are checked
Nothing you post is visible to anyone else until it passes a safety check. An automated AI model checks it against these rules. It can let the post go live, show it to adults only while a person reviews it, or hold it so nobody sees it while a person reviews it. If the check is not available, the post waits. The most serious cases go straight to the person on our safety team who handles them.
4. Users under 18
You must be 13 or older to use Explore. Users from 13 to 17 use Explore like adults: they can post, comment, vote, follow, mention people, share links and make a profile. For them, adult content (posts about procedures, medicine or doses) is filtered out on every surface, and they cannot post photos or files. Where a law asks for more, we follow it. In California they do not get a personalized For You feed. In the UK their For You feed stays off until they turn it on, and by default their name, bio and pinned post show only to their followers, adults cannot find them in search or follow them first, and only people they follow can reply to them; they can change these settings. From January 1, 2027 in Vermont and January 25, 2027 in New York, users under 18 get no personalized For You feed and no Explore notifications between midnight and 6 AM; in Vermont their notifications also start off, the UK defaults above apply, and an adult they do not follow cannot reply to or vote on their posts. In Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas, Explore is read-only for everyone for now, and in Ohio and Australia it is read-only for users under 16, because of those places' laws on minors' social media accounts: you can read guides and discussions, but you cannot post, comment or make a profile. If you are under 18 and we do not know your country, or you are in the US and we do not know your state, Explore is read-only for you until you tell us where you live.
5. When a rule is broken
We may hold or remove the content, limit it to adults, or stop showing it in feeds and search. A person on our team may also give a strike. A strike counts for 180 days, and 3 strikes at the same time mean you cannot post for 14 days. Some rules, such as sexual content involving anyone under 18, intimate images shared without consent and terrorism, lead to a ban the first time. You always get a notice with the reason, and you can appeal. The Terms of Service explain strikes, notices and appeals in full.
6. Report a post
Tap the menu on any post, comment or profile and choose Report. You can also block or mute anyone. The reporting page explains how to report without an account, and the child safety page explains how we handle reports about children.
