How to delete your account

Open the GlowAI app and go to your Profile, then Privacy & Security, and choose Delete Account at the bottom. The app asks you to confirm; once you do, deletion begins immediately.

There is no grace period and no recovery. If you might want your scan history later, use Download Data (on the same Privacy & Security screen) before deleting.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases the personal data GlowAI holds about you: your email, name and account credentials; every photo you uploaded or captured; all scan results, measurements and reports; your scan history and progress tracking; and your preferences and settings. Your account becomes inaccessible the moment you confirm, and the data is not recoverable afterwards, by you or by us.

What may be retained, and why

A few records can outlive an account. Anonymized security logs may be kept for fraud prevention, and records subject to an active legal proceeding are held until the matter is resolved, as the law requires. If you used Explore, the GlowAI community, some safety records are kept for a limited time: reports you sent stay, with your account ID removed, until 365 days after we decided on them; moderation decisions, review records and appeals about your account stay for 365 days with your ID replaced by a scrambled code; your handle stays reserved for 90 days so nobody can take it right away; a post or comment under an urgent safety report that is still open stays hidden until the report is decided, and is then deleted; and content under a legal hold, such as a report to NCMEC, is kept for as long as the hold lasts. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you (for example, that some account ran a scan on a given day) are covered in the privacy policy, including their retention windows.

Alternatives to deleting everything

You can delete individual scans without touching the account: open History, select a scan, and choose Delete. That removes the scan's photos and results only. And as above, Download Data gives you a copy of everything before you decide.

If something goes wrong

If you cannot reach the deletion screen (for example, you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in), email munetic.studiogmail.com from the address on the account and the founder will run the deletion for you. Replies usually come within 48 hours.
