About the founderYerevan, Armenia

Menua Vardanyan

Founder of Moon Labs. Final year at PhysMath School.

I’m seventeen. I run Moon Labs, a registered software company in Yerevan, and I write the code for everything it ships. I have shipped five products, and all of them are live today. I also work at Chessify, a chess analysis company.

The largest is GlowAI. It has passed 4,400 accounts on iOS and Android, and I have not spent anything on ads to get them.

Emergency triage in Armenian, built in 24 hours

I was lead engineer on a team of four building Բուժընկեր, a triage assistant for people deciding whether to call 103, the Armenian ambulance line. I owned the triage pipeline and the safety layer, and built the Android app. On 28 clinical vignettes, keyword rules alone under-triaged 25% of emergencies. The full pipeline under-triaged none. A rule-based red flag check runs before any model call, in 0.02 ms, and all 613 tests run without a network.

GlowAI · Seaside Startup Summit 2026

Semifinal

Booster track, for startups with real users

GlowAI reached the semifinal of the Booster track. It places 468 landmarks on each photo and scores 75 measurements against published anthropometric ranges from Farkas, Powell, Naini and Sarver, so the same face always returns the same result. It has passed 4,400 accounts with nothing spent on marketing.

Munu · voice assistant

400 ms

From speaking to acting, measured

Batch transcription left 2,355 ms of dead air on every turn. I raced a live streaming recogniser against it and the wait before Munu acts dropped to about 400 ms. A virtual microphone plays recordings through the real pipeline, so 30 automated tests check how it wakes and how it lets you interrupt.

Chessify · browser extension

2 sites

Reading a live chess board off the page

At Chessify, a chess analysis and engine company, I built the browser extension that reads a live board while you play. The two sites it supports draw the board in completely different ways, and the extension turns both into the same clean position for the engine.

  • Mini Sumo robot

An autonomous robot on a PCB I designed in KiCad, with a Raspberry Pi Pico, DRV8874 motor drivers and VL53L1X distance sensors. I took it to RoboChallenge in Bucharest, October 31 to November 2, 2025, with the PhysMath and Root ITSP team.

  • Drones and planes

A 5 inch FPV drone I built and tuned myself, and a 3D printed RC plane.

  • Security

CTF competitions, and regular practice on Hack The Box and TryHackMe.

  • AI seminar in Bochum

February to March 2026, a seminar run by DIALOG eV in Bochum on deep learning, from MNIST to backpropagation.

  • Seaside Startup Summit

I volunteered at two earlier editions. In 2026 I came back with GlowAI, reached the Booster track semifinal, and trained with a founder for five days, four hours a day.

  • MG7 and chess

I run MG7, a YouTube channel with about 10,000 subscribers. I have played chess for eight years and I am the strongest player in my class.
