1. Our standard

GlowAI, made by Moon Labs, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual content involving anyone under 18, grooming, adults seeking contact with minors, sextortion, and any content that sexualizes a child. It applies to every part of GlowAI, including Explore, the GlowAI community, and to every account, whatever its age.

2. How GlowAI protects users under 18

  • You must be 13 or older to use GlowAI. Accounts of children under 13 are locked.
  • If we do not know a user's age, we treat them as under 18. Age signals from the App Store and Google Play can lower the age we use, never raise it.
  • Users from 13 to 17 cannot share links, post face photos or post anonymously. Their profiles are not suggested to others, by default only people they follow can reply to them, nobody can mention them, and they get notifications only from people they follow.
  • Explore has no private messages.
  • Adult content, including posts about procedures, medicine or doses, is filtered out for users under 18 on every surface.
  • Our rules forbid sexual content and forbid adults from seeking contact with anyone under 18.

3. How we find it

Nothing posted in Explore is visible to anyone else until it passes a safety check. Every post, comment and profile field is checked by an automated model, and anything that may harm a child is held at once and sent to the person on our safety team who handles child safety. Only that person opens these reports; moderators never see them. Photo posts are turned off. When they turn on, every photo will be compared with lists of known abuse images before anything else happens to it, and photos from users under 18 cannot be posted.

4. What we do when we find it

  • We remove the content so no one can see it.
  • We report apparent CSAM to the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires (18 U.S.C. 2258A). NCMEC can pass the report to the police in the country concerned.
  • We keep the reported content under a legal hold for one year, as that law requires, where only the person who handles child safety can open it and every opening is recorded. It stays even if the account is deleted.
  • A person on our team bans the account. Sexual content involving anyone under 18 leads to a ban the first time.
  • If a child is in danger, we tell the police of the country concerned, or Europol if we do not know the country.
  • We answer valid requests from the police and courts.

5. How to report

If a child is in immediate danger, call your local police first.

  • In the app: tap the menu on the post, comment or profile, choose Report, and pick the child safety reason.
  • Without an account: use the web report form described on the reporting page. You can report child safety concerns without giving your name.
  • You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org.

Please do not send child safety reports by email, and never send the abusive image or video anywhere. Reports in the app and through the web form go straight to an adult on our safety team.

6. Child safety contact

Questions about our child safety practices, from users, parents, app stores or authorities, go to munetic.studiogmail.com. This address is for questions only; to report a child safety concern, use one of the ways in section 5. We follow the child safety laws that apply to GlowAI, including US federal law on reporting CSAM, the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act.
